Terengganu, 20 July 2013 – Division of Student Affairs, UPM in collaboration with the Cancer Resource & Education Center (CaRE) and Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM has organized a Program Ziarah Amal Ramadhan located in Kuala Besut. The program held was from 9 am to 5 pm.
CaRE’s objectives for this program were to provide cancer awareness through exhibits, readings and demonstrations of breast self-examination, to promote CaRE, and to provide opportunities for communities around Kuala Besut undergo a general health screening for free.
Interestingly, Putra Expansion Bus has been used as a platform to the showcase of cancer education materials. From the demonstrations, almost 40 visitors have gain benefit from the programmes. Moreover, almost 400 people visitors underwent the general health screening for free.
